He needs a pretend girlfriend, she needs a lawyer and love is not on the docket.
Lawyer Andrew Coles needs a date for the next Southerland wedding, one who will keep the pitying looks at bay and make his favorite bridesmaid regret walking away from him. But most importantly one who doesn’t come with strings attached. He doesn’t need or want the complication of a romantic relationship.
When exotic dancer Candy Graham rear ends a pickup truck on the way to a new job and much needed cash, she knows she’s in trouble. Her totaled car puts a damper on her plans and plants her firmly on the wrong side of the law. She needs a lawyer fast and preferably one who can be flexible with payment.
A straightforward business arrangement solves both of their problems. He gets a wedding date with no hidden agenda, and she gets her legal problems to disappear. Perfect. Until a relationship of convenience turns into something neither can live without.

LAWS OF ATTRACTION is a standalone read with a HEA. It is a bit steamy if that is a concern for you. I really enjoyed this story. It is #7 in the series but I did not feel lost when some of the other characters were introduced that already have their stories told.Andrew is the "adopted" son. He grew up with the big family and has always felt like one of them. The parents went out of their way to take him in and treat him just like they did their own children. A big family wedding is taking place in London and he desperately needs a date so he doesn't look desperate. Only problem is who?
The Heroine meets him under some weird circumstances and he manages to talk her into being his fake date. Since it is a free trip to London it is hard to refuse. So they set out with their story and plan to fake his friends and family into believing they are newly in love. She has a big secret, one she isn't ashamed of but it can jeopardize everything. Besides these two being so different, they want entirely different things for their lives.
It is a fun, entertaining read. I really enjoyed it and I definitely recommend it. There are secrets, a bit of lying by omission, finding what is important in life and adopting a dog from the pound. Andrew has a lot to learn about what is really important to him and how far he is willing to go to get it. A good read.
I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 9/7/18

Laws of Attraction The Southerlands Book 7 edition by Evelyn Adams Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
I enjoyed Laws of Attraction but it was hardly difficult to figure out the ending after the first chapter. Two people who have no connection meet cute and he uses his leverage over her to convince her to be his "date" for a family wedding, and then (shocker -- spoiler alert) they fall in love themselves. Then of course, they fight and make up and end up together. There were some really far fetched storylines - such as a the daughter of an important politician working as a stripper and nobody being the wiser? Really? Like I said, far-fetched. But it's a fun read and if you want something light and happy, I recommend it.
In a rating system where three stars means "it was okay" and five stars means "I loved it," then "Laws of Attraction" is a solid four star book for me. The writing was good. The hero seemed like a reasonable person but I had my doubts about her - she was very manipulative in the beginning and it seemed almost like she had a con artist personality. As the story progressed it turned out she was a good person but she was often purposely evasive about the truth, which seemed over the top and all for the sake of drama for the plot. Later when he blamed himself for not knowing the truth I thought the blame rested more on her shoulders. As soon as he decided to run for office I guessed the major conflict approaching in the story and it seemed lame to me that it did not occur to the characters until much later on in the story. I loved the very romantic ending and I thought the ending was this book's saving grace. To sum it up good writing, some character issues, great ending.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was my first read from Evelyn Adams, and certainly wrong be my last. I do love discovering new authors, and I’ve found another favourite, and while this story was not a series starter, I’m definitely going to check out the previous books in the Southerland Family series.
While Andrew Coles is not a real Southerland, he has been a fixture in their home since he was a boy. Now as another family member marries, and he is forced to deal with his ex at the wedding, he finds an unlikely helper after a nose to tail car accident.
Candace (Candy), Graham is a woman in the run… from her family, her life, and her history. Running into the back of another car was not the way she saw her future. Not only is the man she hit, stunningly handsome but a freaking lawyer. Could her luck get any worse? Yep, now she has no job, no money and a totalled car. But with that crappy accident ones a deal she can’t turn down.
Andrew needs a date, a pretend girlfriend for the wedding, Candy needs money and a job. This is a match made in heaven, or hell depending on what you opinions are. What neither expected were the feelings that came with the touches and kisses, what should have been a relationship of convenience, turns to real life. But like real life, it’s never what we expect.
As Andrew is offered the opportunity to become a councillor with Candy in his arm, her past as a stripper may ruin everything. Running away is what she does best, but for Andrew, he’s had a taste of her and whether she’s a dancer, a college graduate or senators daughter, she’s also his. He’ll have to pull out all the stops to win her back. Hothead vs hothead. Sex vs sex. Pigheaded vs pigheaded. These two are meant to be….
